Canning & Food Storage Jars, Wine & Beer Bottles, Carboys

Canning & Food Storage Jars, Wine & Beer Bottles, Carboys

This local fellow has been recently brought to my attention by a number of people.I took the time today to look him up and his list of "stuff" is interesting. I guess he has lots to look through and is acharacter. One of these days I want to go over and buy some jars.

  1. He's baaaack! I've been out to buy jars from Jim; he's very popular in the sustainable budget group I belong to. He disappeared there for a bit and we've been worried about him. He's quite a character. It's not a quick visit with him; he's full of history and knowledge and knows the background of every jar. His garage is amazing! It's easy to get lost in the maze of boxes, crocks and jars. If you really make to make friends with him, bring him some empty chardonnay wine bottle boxes. Something about the shape of the box fits some of his jars just right...he is very particular. Let me know if you plan to go out there, maybe I'll join you :)

  2. Oh, Jim. Make sure you have plenty of time if you decide to venture over there; he's a talker. Also, stay on his good side or he won't sell you anything!

  3. I agree... he can't shut up to save his life, but his prices are worth it.

I picked up a 10 liter pickle crock for 60 or 70 bucks... he has tons of canning jars at screaming prices.
